Remember, Deyana, everyone's skin does not accept tattoo ink well. In five years, depending on your skin, you could have a tattoo that looks faded and ancient. I have no idea how to tell beforehand if one has the right kind of skin or not.
If that is the world's most tattooed senior woman, does that mean that there is some woman who has more tattoos?

Bixa, that's true. It's hard to know what the end result will be, especially with my skin tone. That's probably why I keep putting it off. Yeah, I like the snake too.
Kerouac, I don't like that one in the pic you put up much. I can just imagine the colors will just run into each other one day, or it turns gray and looks like just one blob. I like the more delicate looking ones for the shoulder.
An ex-boyfriend of mine had quite a few and I liked them, but they could have done with some retouching I thought. I wonder how often that needs to be done?

No, not on an old sailor, but I did once get to know an ex-German soldier who served in WW2, and he had quite the collection of tattoos. He was embarrassed about them, was always trying to hide them.

hmmm.....are you sure about that, Kimby? Bixa, I'm always forgetting where any jewelry I wear is, at least with a tattoo, I won't be able do that.  Besides, my sister has her nose pierced and studded and my other sister has multiple ear piercing, so I'm feeling a little left out... |

Ha ha Bixa - I liked that picture! Winchester is full of those people; indeed I bumped into one this evening on my way home. She was riding a bike and stopped to tell me that her son has just been ordained. For once this left me speechless.

Apparently there are some conscientious tattoo artists who will only do a temporary tattoo on the first visit. You have to wait two months or so to come back to get a real one.

I love my neighbor's tramp stamp, but I'm not sure I'd want Mrs. imec to get one (not that it wouldn't look great).
