Well, I just started a book called Swimsuit by James Patterson. He writes crime fiction, the Alex Cross character, the Women's Murder Club. Not great books, but entertaining. Well, I read the prologue and closed the book and took it back to the library.
It just seems that some of the Dectective, or crime fiction books are becoming so gory and horrible, and consistently uses women as victims that I have stopped reading them.
I was just wondering, is it me? Also, if you have read something noteworthy, lets start a list, cause I love to read, but want something that is worth it.

T63,what's your fancy in books? There's quite a bit right here in the Library section that might interest you.

Oh -- can we not start another thread of recommendations? There are already some really good threads going on that. Duplication of effort means that worthy threads get pushed aside and forgotten.
Tell you what -- I'll make a sticky post with all the book recommendation threads listed in it.

I enjoy trashy (and not so trashy) crime novels from time to time. But I want to rip them up if ever the ending is totally stupid.
