One thing I really miss about living in the US is the huge variety of plants and seeds available from catalogs. Google heirloom tomatoes catalog, for instance, and the first two hits on the page will offer mind-boggling variety.

They won't ship to Mexico? If not, there's got to be a good business to be had as at least a gray market importer. I remember when people seemed to making piles of money opening up Mexican/C American import shops in the US. Maybe they weren't declaring everything, I don't know

Oh, I imagine they'd ship to Mexico -- for a large amount of money, after which I'd sweat out the package getting through customs without either getting a hefty duty slapped on it or perhaps going home with one of the customs officials.
I generally bring back seed packets in my luggage. I've no idea if that is legal or not.
