Good idea. Might have to wait a few years though..

I bought this little succulent at a yard sale a few weeks ago. The woman selling it told me to repot it. No idea what it is, but after I repotted it, it suddenly started to grow and bloomed the other day. And these might bloom one of these days too.

That advice from the vendor sure paid off, Bjd. I love your oval pots and how they frame the succulents in them.
Very cool outer space flower, Mick. You really ought to give us all a little tutorial on the succulent Asclepiadaceae.

I know that certain plants thrive in small pots and you are not supposed to give them too much room to spread out, but I never know which ones.

I know that certain plants thrive in small pots and you are not supposed to give them too much room to spread out, but I never know which ones. By and large small pots are fine for most of them.

Beautiful! My Stapelia gigantea took the longest time to make a nice big balloon bud. Then I went out of town for six days & got back last night. Went out this morning and of course the thing bloomed and there is nothing left of the flower.

Very nice.
Now I find myself wondering if cattle, goats, sheep will go after the flowers in the wild, assuming that the thorns and spines have taught them to keep away from the rest of the plant.

So pretty! I love the subtle colors of succulents and that red adds a really nice boost to a collection.

Until today this was Agave titanota. Now it's Agave oteroi. One of my favourites.

Thanks, Mick. I'll have to go outside and tell all of mine. I do think the old name was prettier. Still, that Agave seems to have the most personality of all of them.
