Thank you! The photo was taken at the Prarie Creek bridge. What I couldn't show you were the locals fishing along the bridge. It felt like it would have been an intrusion. Surely they'd found the best view in all of east Gainesville!

Wow, that is a beautiful photo htmb. What type of fish would the fishermen catch there?

The people who fish there are typically African American families who use cane poles with worms for bait. (No fishing license is required when using a cane pole.) They catch mostly catfish and bream, but sometimes small bass if they're lucky. The fish is almost prepared by dipping in a batter before deep frying.

We catch bass here as well but we always release them, neither of us have filleted a fish! A friend of ours takes my husband every year and fillets what he catches (I think he chooses not to learn!). Children and seniors get a free pass for fishing but the rest of age must have a license. There are quite stiff penalties if you are caught without one. If you are caught with over the limit (although it would have to be quite a bit I imagine and perhaps a history of offenses) they can take away your boat, car and trailer! They usually offer one free weekend per summer.
But what an absolutely beautiful location you have to spend a morning or afternoon catching dinner!

I tried figuring out which Swiss lake that might be, then I thought they all look roughly the same to me. Then I thought any large lake anywhere in the Alps pretty much looks like that. Which is to say it's quite beautiful.

The mighty Fraser. (I just realised that the photo I posted above of the ferry looks incredibly fake. It's not. No filters or anything. It was just an intensely atmospheric morning.)

Very pretty! Have we seen pictures from this area before? Perhaps of your daughter walking the dog?

Quite possibly. If so, apologies but these were a new spring set.

Quite possibly. If so, apologies but these were a new spring set. Oh, I'm not complaining! I love seeing photos from your area. I was just wondering if I really recognized the landmarks in your photo, or if it was a figment of my imagination.

Thank you, it's a little lacking in sharpness though. I must have been a little unsteady taking it.
