Some good stuff though I don't like the spiders. Too oily and sweet the way they do them here. But everytime a friend or relative visits me I have to eat one so they can take a picture.
What interests me much more is the Casu Marzu (from Sardinia, I think). Has anybody tried it?

I've heard of the Casu Marzu but honestly I don't know if I would want to try it...

From the looks of this site, I have a potential smorgasboard going on in my garden. Tuesday night potluck ideas are running through my early a.m. brain.

What if you order casu marzu and don't eat the bugs? Does it taste not as good? They're fly larvae, right?

I have never voluntarily eaten a bug, but I am on the verge of promising to do so if I manage to go to Bangkok for a few days in a couple weeks.

Stick to the crickets, they're like deep fried shrimps only better because you don't need to peel them.
Grasshoppers have very spiky legs, be sure to take them off before eating.
My favourite, bamboo grubs. If fresh they're slightly crispy and nutty. No squishy feeling in the mouth at all.
