I'm still using IE for most browsing.

I have been getting that Cloudfare problem repeatedly, only on Any Port, since this morning. Using Linux and Firefox.

Hoo boy. I just went & looked at the report filed about this problem. Here are the most recent replies that apply to anyport: [from admin Ricky re: Cloudfare problem in France -- Post by Ricky Zyvoloski on 53 minutes ago Does the person from Germany receive the exact error that the person from France does? Are they both still getting the pages regularly at this time? The main reason I ask is because checking CloudFlare's system status it does appear they were having issues yesterday routing traffic through Paris, so it's possible they could have experienced issues assuming their connection was routed through there. Everything appears to be fine today though, which would be why I'd be interested to know whether or not they're still experiencing it [from admin Michael] -- For the users who are having issues, could you have them Ping their forum URL and tell us what IP it returns? How to ping: www.mediacollege.com/internet/troubleshooter/ping.html

I had problems today, starting this morning and on several occasions over the course of the day, but not since late afternoon. No problems yesterday.
Sorry -- I can't ping. I am a technology-challenged Linux user (although I would be under Windows if I didn't have a live-in computer person here).

hi bixa, thanks a lot for tackling this.
it's currently gone, anyway here's the result of my ping: (for odd reasons I can't copy & paste right now, so I hope a summary does it) packages sent: 4, received: 4, lost: 0. min time 26ms, max time 30ms hope this helps
a detail I forgot to mention: I usually start with the anyport main-page and subsequently open a number of branches/threads in different tabs before I actually start reading any posts. on most occasions, it wasn't until I clicked on one of those opened tabs again before a new tab appeared directing me to those gaming sites - don't know whether this could mean the bug is at my end yet...

Looks like my ping is normal.

I never got any gaming sites -- just a white cloudfare page saying Any Port was having problems. Nothing so far today.

Thanks, all. Let's hope it stays gone. If it happens to anyone again, please report what browser you were using and the URL of the redirection.

Is anyone else having problems with the proboards graphic links at the top and bottom of the page. The graphics for "home," "search," etc links at on the top right of each page have only been loading sporadically for me. I also do not always seem to get a "reply" link (not the quick reply, but the other). I use Safari in Mac most of the time, but also had the problem in Firefox on my PC.

It happens to me sometimes on IE. Each browser seems to have its weak moments. If even one browser were perfect, there wouldn't be so many existing browsers.

It's happening a lot. Shouldn't you report it to someone?

Oh, well. Maybe it's just me after all. It seems to only happen from time to time. I can work around it by using the back button or refreshing, but this little glitch is new over the last two weeks.

I feel like the biggest dummy. Perhaps everyone already knows this, but I have just learned that by clicking the number in the reply box next to a thread title I can see who actually replied and how many times. For instance, if I click on the number next to my Images of Ormond thread, this is what I see: Thread Posters Total Posts: 21 User # of Posts htmb 12 bjd 2 lugg 2 bixaorellana 2 kerouac2 2 tod2 1 I had no clue.

Though my AnyPort personal settings have not changed, I no longer receive email alerting me to a new AnyPort PM. This has been going on for at least three days. I searched on the proboards support website and see this has occurred on other boards in the past. I'm interested to know if anyone here has also experienced the issue.

I've never used that function. My PMs just wait for me until I log on.

Now that I am back to work full time I will not be logging in as often. I like knowing when I have a PM and found the alerts to be very helpful.

Htmb, I'm sure you've already checked your spam folder, so can you try un-checking your PM preferences, then clearing your cache, then resetting the preferences? I'll PM you when you've done that so you can check for an email alert.

Hmm. Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier: I just set my PM preferences to receive notification by email when I get a PM, so please PM me so I can see if it works.
Perhaps my "associate" could do the same for more complete testing.

Sorry Kerouac but, while you're to"too tired",aren't we all , and if you're bemoaning the fact that you've been feeling abandon, someone is taking care of the administrative duties of this forum, and it's not been you, so, be grateful, and give just due where it's merited. That would be the most gracious thing you could do,

After setting my PM preference to email notification I got an email telling me how many PMs I had & what the subject line was, so that function is working for me.
I don't know if this has any bearing or not, but I'm using Firefox & the PM emails are sent to a gmail address.
Are you still having the problem, Htmb?

Yes. I use Safari on the iPad and Firefox most of the time at work. Don't worry about it, Bixa. It's not a big deal.
