I have allowed upgrades from Windows as they come, but I have imposed the Windows 7 shell for display so I am never disoriented.

I hate OSs that nag me, or ask me to do this, that, or the other thing, or boast about new features, or even make me aware they exist at all. Not just OSs - the number of times in my life I've shouted at the screen "Stop trying to be "helpful" and just do what you're told!!"

I have been disowned by anyport after a spell of not posting. I am relegated to guest and can't seem to go from there to my usual 'questa' name. questa, when you sign in, do you check the "keep me signed in" box? [re: Windows 11] All I've noticed is that the start button has moved from the lower left corner to a harder-to-find spot towards the middle of the taskbar. It added a couple of new icons to said taskbar Are you relatively satisfied that you made the switch?

I can't really tell any difference, at least once I got rid of the spam links in my taskbar.

I gave 11 a chance for the past few days, but this morning returned to 10. 10 will be supported until October of 2025, so there is no rush to go to 11 with its pointless changes and cartoonish icons. The screen had begun going to black for a moment between site changes, which was disconcerting. But what I hated the most was the loathsomely large taskbar with its big goofy icons. My laptop is only 14", so why take up more of the screen than necessary. As soon as 10 reappeared, I wanted to cover the monitor with kisses.

All of you who use Imgbb ("Add image to post") need to realize how huge phone photos are. After you put in a photo in "add photo here", click on the thumbnail before you upload that picture. There is an option to resize it which you'll want to use once you see how very big your picture is. Resizing the photo to something realistic means that it will load faster once posted to anyport.
A further note is that the habit of using the phone to take pictures in portrait mode rather than landscape mode may be part of the problem in slow loading with Imgbb-hosted photos. Inspecting a few of such pictures, I found them to be 640 x 853. 640 is not big at all for the width, but 853 for the height apparently is straining proboards' display abilities.
