Kids don't see them that way though. I remember watching some of those cartoons as a kid and those words never crossed my mind.

I remember that quite a long while ago there was increased focus on stuttering and how much it makes people suffer. I think there was an astronaut's wife who was the spokesperson. Anyway, Porky Pig was used as an example of how people who stutter are mocked.

Kids who stutter suffer terribly. It does affect mostly boys too, not sure why. And I've heard that speech therapy doesn't always work.
