It certainly is, and "it" is the silk from golden orb spiders in Madagascar. Over 100 years ago, fishermen in Madagascar used the naturally golden-colored spider silk for nets and line. Through the centuries, stabs at creating fabric from the spiders' filament have been made. Now, two men are reviving that effort. click picture for story
