It certainly is, and "it" is the silk from golden orb spiders in Madagascar.
Over 100 years ago, fishermen in Madagascar used the naturally golden-colored spider silk for nets and line. Through the centuries, stabs at creating fabric from the spiders' filament have been made. Now, two men are reviving that effort.
