This was a major topic of discussion among the women at the office this week. All of them were of course shuddering at the thought.

Looks like the mother has excessive glucose in her system, which can produce very large babies. And she had two others that were quite big too. I wouldn't want to carry it, no. I do wonder though, if the baby will stay that big? Or will it be about the same size as any other average sized baby/child as it grows up?

That is heavy, Iain. My nephew was nearly 11 pounds at birth, but his mom and dad are big people too. Needless to say she still went through hell trying to give birth to him. He grew to be well over 6 feet tall and his sister, (my niece), is 6' tall.

I was on the small side, 6 lbs, 14 oz. I don't think I even weighed 19 lbs at a year old.
