Ooooo! They're all gorgeous, but I particularly love that last shot with the distinct geometric shapes framing the water.

The fountains of Paris will be turned off for the winter soon, but today they were still operating. The fontaine Saint Michel... The fontaine des Innocents... The fontaine du Châtelet...

Spring has definitely arrived in Paris, because the fountains of Place de la Concorde are finally flowing again.

Yes, I like the 'blueness' of the water coming out.

I love the exuberance of bixa's fountains - I almost feel the spray.

Kerouac, the close up of the horse is beautiful! Do you know who designed this fountain? Dare I do this? Fountains have many uses. These were taken on a hot, hot day in Paris and I saw this throughout the city...

If tomorrow's temperature is like today's, people will be doing that tomorrow in Paris. In April!

The greeny murkiness of that water under the cloudy sky is just great.
Bjd, looking back through this thread at your Bernini fountain, I'm struck by the modern sculpture beyond it, and how beautifully the two pieces work together.

That is beautiful. What and where is it, and is it as big as it seems?

Yes, it's pretty big in the Parc de Bercy in Paris. I couldn't show the bottom, though, because it was full of disgusting putrid slimy foam.

I have no idea what it is, but it is at "Stalingrad" in Paris. (Place de la Bataille de Stalingrad, if anybody wanted to say the complete name.)

The Onofrio fountain in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Built in 1438 as part of the city's water supply system. At the time, Dubrovnik was called Ragusa and belonged to Venice. This is one of the heads containing a water pipe.

And of course Rome. I'm sure this is famous, but it was just picturesque to me. This one is of course at the foot of the Spanish Steps. This one is in the piazza in front of the Pantheon
