The Met Life building will always be the Pan Am building to me!
We saw all of the same things, casimira, except that I saw them in the snow and I was freezing my ass off!

Well, even I recognize the Chrysler Bldg. (and you got a fantastic shot of it!), but could you identify some of the other landmarks for us non-Noo Yawkers?

Well, Grand Central Terminal has its name written on it, for one.

Shortly after coming out of the Midtown Tunnel that is the sight you see,the Chrysler Building, and then the old Pan Am, (now MetLife), with beautiful Grand Central right under. It's a heady experience and such a grand entry into the city. I'm sorry, but I already promised HWINPP the Sabrett's Fumo! Too late. Next time maybe. My next shots of Grand Central are terrible. I think I was trembling with excitement so they are really blurry. But I'm going to post them anyway. Just letting you know ahead of time .

Ah, street life scenes! Market scenes! I love it.
I see you came across the same woman ("No photos!") that I did in Paris.

The second picture looks a bit like a montage, funny effect.
And I see the price of long ans in the second last pic is quite competitive in NYC! Even the mandarin price is good!
Nice market shots, Cas!

Thanks,hw. I bought a bag of Clementines for very cheap. Much of the fruit I didn't know. I should have done my homework better and studied your posts. Maybe, you can give me a tutorial before my next trip.

Ahhh, clementines... they're the ones without seeds, right?
Long an are the brown fruit, 5lbs for 10USD. You break the skin and peel it off with a sharp fingernail (I use my teeth) then eat the flesh inside. Careful, there's a seed. The smaller, the better. The seed is black and look like a dragon's eye, hence the name, long= dragon, an= eye.
