And yes, you are a masochist, not to mention foolish for wasting perfectly good butter, lemon, & aluminum foil.

My dinner is ... no idea
Nothing in the fridge, so I had to delve into the freezer searching for one of my frozen meals ( the leftovers from a previously cooked meal) . Pulled out something that looks edible but on opening the container I am still not sure what it is. So a surprise meal !!

If you don't report back on this, we will be worried!
It's quite early (5:15 pm), but I'm starving. The tiny seashell macaroni with egg awaits, but the slices of zucchini are still grilling in the air fryer. Soon. Very soon.

I had soup for dinner, perhaps for one of the last times of the season, but it was a cool wet day.

Last night I had one of my favorite kind of meals: a straightforward presentation of starch, meat, vegetable. Taste & nourishment for a cool, damp evening: poblano peppers melted down in olive oil, thinly sliced potato & radish pan fried with butter, & (purchased) roast chicken pieces heated in the poblano pan.

I cooked cod fillets dipped in a flour/spice mixture, baked...I had steamed carrots, broccoli, green beans (squeaky beans ) and baby corn. Jeff had thicker fillets with mashed potato and a tin of tomatoes. Quick and tasty.

Jeff had thicker fillets with mashed potato and a tin of tomatoes. Jeff is on target with looking after his Prostate. Any cooked tomatoes are the best thing.

This morning I noticed that the quart-sized yogurt container of vegetarian chili I took out of the freezer yesterday to thaw was still out. Whoops. It's going to be supper tonight. I mention this in case you all never hear from me again.

Oh we will hear from you Bixa as it would take longer than that to be vile! Was it delicious?
It is freezing cold here. Snow has fallen on higher ground - I bet Lesotho is a white wonderland. In the oven is a very large Macaroni Cheese. On the side table is a very precious Heirloom tomato from the garden just waiting for some green Iceberg lettuce and a few slices of red onion to complete a simple salad.

Tonight was special for me, so I had a Louisiana shrimp boil for dinner. Kerouac, I take it the pleasure is in peeling off the shell and dipping it in a hot sauce? Are they served hot or cold?

I had them hot the first evening with hot sauce but cold the next day with mayonnaise.

I made potato pancakes tonight although my grandmother would not have approved of my addition of Cayenne pepper and turmeric. Even in Alsace, the French often call these latkes, but my grandmother was Vosgian and just called them "crêpes aux pommes de terre" as do I. They should be eaten at lunch, but since I had them for dinner, I can expect some possible indigestion tonight.

Not sure. Struggling to swallow at present. Soup? It sounds like you have a Strep throat Mick. Don't treat it too lightly. Streptococci can invade the kidneys which is not good at all. To aid swallowing take a heavy pain killer. When feeling a little less sore eat your meal. Gargle with salt water or an OTC red Andolex. I wish you a speedy recovery with or without my suggestions!

Dinner was a cinch tonight! I roasted ready prepared meatballs by the supermarket and at the same time roasted a real kaleidoscope of vegetables coated in olive oil and butter with seasoning. Was delecious!
