European members will remember that to adjust the time on this site, they must enter the "modify my profile" zone and change the "DST" option on the clock.
American members will remember to do this next week.

Thanks, Wizard.
Because of your post, I checked and we rolled back tonight. I'm now an hour earlier than all the US & Canada in the Central time zone.

I never thought that Mexico would change at the same time as Europe, Bixa!

I guess they want to keep us on our toes, Annie. In the Spring, we changed much later than the US, which makes no sense at all.

I didn't have the feeling that I slept an hour longer this morning. But it will be dark very early tonight. I wish we were on daylight saving all year around

My extra hour of sleep was stolen from me, because the time didn't change in Egypt, thus transforming that hour into just a one hour jet lag when I return to Europe.

Will you get to have a couple of days off at least before returning to work again, Kerouac?
It looks like our clocks will change this Sunday.

Arizona is a state that never goes on DST, so we just roll with everyone else. We are always MST.

I am enjoying the early nightfall, because Paris is very pretty after dark. (It's pretty during the day, too, but in a completely different way.)

Speaking of time change. Arizona doesn't as I said before, but Mexico does. So, if you are in Nogales, Arizona it is 12:00 pm, when you cross the Border into Nogales, Sonora it is 1:00 pm. Quite confusing if you are setting appointments to see someone!!!

I came in from the garden at 17.40. It is cloudy and getting gloomy early. On the cheerful side, only 6 weeks to the earliest sunset.

Winter time again tomorrow in Europe, dear members! Don't forget to go and modify your profile to change the Anyport clock.
Americans and Canadians have another week before they need to do this.

Oddly, my computer automatically did it last week, (when Europe did it).
I dislike the early nightfall as it means I often have to run errands by bicycle in the dark (there is no snow here yet). Yes, of course I have lights fore and aft, but I don't especially like riding in the "dark", not that it is ever fully dark in a densely-populated urban area.
Of course I dislike much more when there is heavy snow and ice, and errands take so much longer (in most cases, public transport would save me little or no time, nor would a car, if parking is counted). A bicycle is faster in a 5km radius or a bit more, even if one respects stop lights etc (which I do).

Oddly, my computer automatically did it last week, (when Europe did it). Your computer probably missed one of the automatic updates for your OS. The winter time dates were changed relatively recently, and the original expected times are built into computers probably at least for the next 10 years.
