Take care of yourself palesa!
Yesterday was a big football final here, which usually would mean an excuse for junk food and several beers either at home or a pub. We stuck with the healthy dinner that was planned, walked for almost an hour and had just one bottle of beer each with the game, so I think pretty good.

If you start a lifestyle of healthful foods, after a while the "negative reinforcement" will make you want to avoid most junk foods.
Really impressive, Gringa -- what a great beginning to your new life.

Well, I was good during the day, had a healthy breakfast and lunch and did yoga and abdominal exercies. However, we got a call from some friends that had just gotten back from vacation and wanted to get together for dinner, so we went out and did not eat healthy. Back to the plan today, however.

The next week is going to be a real challenge for me, lots of "things" on the go and travel for work next week. I always find it hard to stay on track when travelling, especially when I do not have my own kitchen.
Also, my excercise bike doesn't fit in my suitcase. I will try and swim everyday instead.
Gringa, you are doing great! One is allowed treats and meals out.

How did everything go on the weekend? Food/drink was so-so, but we went on a long hike in the Andes with the dogs. that was good excercise. I am so mad that we are still having camera trouble, because the air quality was good and the view of the city was amazing. The only problem was one of the dogs only getting kicked in the head by a horse. We also went grocery shopping to have lots of healthier options in the house.

Well done, so-so is better than "off the rails".
We also had a pretty good weekend, with a nice long walk with the dogs yesterday.

Boot Camp is back on. Done with my few weeks of chaos. Starting tomorrow morning, I will be on the bike for 30 mins every day and I will be developing a proper, healthy, full of fruit and veggies, eating plan.
Watch this space.

You don't have to tell us your weight, but I suppose there is a specific goal in that department. What are you hoping to do, Palesa?

I am hoping to loose between 25 and 30kgs in total, I have lost 4 since the beginning of the year. My prefect weight according to all the calculators says 30 kg's, but I think that that my be too thin for me, so I will re-evaluate when I get there. I would like to do this by September this year.

You're supposed to weight 30kgs?! 66 pounds?! How tall are you -- about 2 1/2 feet maybe?
Kate Moss weighs more than 30 kgs.

Oops, I should edit that!
The calculators say I should lose 30, but I think 25 is more realistic.

I went for a proper assessment tonight and am VERY pleased that I only need to loose 18 kg's and not 30, her formula takes age, bone structure, height etc. into consideration. I had always thought I was light to medium build, but it turns out that I am medium to heavy. 18 kgs is a much more realistic goal!
Carrots and celery sticks on me!

It has been really hard to be good. Because of the big day coming up, it seems like everyone wants to have us over for dinner or take us out, which means it is tough to eat healthily and eating out here goes with plenty of wine and beer. During the week I am at home for breakfast and lunch, so I have more control and I think I have been doing well with that. I did walk a ton yesterday, had to do several errands taking the metro and walking and there was lots of up and down the steps and I did a good yoga session on Sunday.
Thursday, I think I can forget being good then we have another dinner out on Saturday with his co-workers. Very sweet that everyone wants to do these things for us, but my discipline goes out the window.

I cannot believe how quickly this has come.

Wow pal, that's a big plan ! I'm glad you now go for 18kg and not 25 as I think you would only be skin and bone ! I would love to lose 5kg until summer too but I know I won't be strict enough. But I'll try anyway. *bites in an apple*

I don't know if you swim or have access to a pool but I have always found not only the water therapeutic but one can also work out one's fury by swimming.

Casi, I should go and join our local public pool, it is not far.
Grief is a good weightloss programme, 6kg's since Tuesday last week.
