Tod, I've heard of Rhode Island Reds. I believe they're a pretty common type, although I can't tell one chicken from another except in the sense of fried, fricasseed, etc.

And don't forget Foghorn Leghorn.

I wonder if The Little Red Hen was a Rhode Island Red.

Love the jewel-like vignette in the mirror -- lovely photo, Imec.

So unusual - the palms etched in black with the outline of the buildings. Those two rocket-like trees/palms , do you know what they are? At first I thought they were part of the building and then noticed the sparser foliage lower down the trunk.

Tod, that picture really fools the eye. The palms are the furthest away. The "rockets" are very tall agave flower spikes!

I too thought they were part of the building. They look like minarets.

The palms are the furthest away. The fantastic clouds are probably further away. Nice photo, bixa!

Amboseli and Bixa, those photos are great -- but I do not mean to imply that OM's photos are shabby -- they are excellent in a more artistic way, different from the others.

I recognize that pointy building. Are we going to see a San Francisco thread?

NYC, ask Kerouac how long it took me to do an Australia thread... and don't hold your breath for the SF one. Though I am posting images in their appropriate threads.

Well, I'll take what I can get. I've been to SF more times than I can count but I'm still eager for more because I'm usually busy hanging out with my family at their house rather than sightseeing.

Which one is that K2? It looks so haunted-house Halloween-y.

That was "Richard Lenoir" this morning at 8am, but it could have been any of 50 others.
