Just about everybody in northern Europe believes that the Belgian singer Stromae is going to be one of the top stars of this decade, especially when his Jacques Brel-ish Flemish intonations come through.

The Israeli singer Keren Ann has been one of the top favorites in France for the last 10 years or so, particularly since she writes lots of songs for French singers. This one is in English, though.
