That article left out some good examples -- all the married couples who slept in twin beds, the husband always in pajamas buttoned all the way to the neck. And there was that pianist on Lawrence Welk -- Joanne somebody -- who was pregnant. In an attempt to disguise that fact as she got closer to term, the cameraman using whatever technology was available then accidentally "erased" her as she sat playing the piano.
Weren't the Smothers Brothers finally thrown off the air because of censorship?

The comments on the article quickly mention the double bed problem, pointing out that Fred and Wilma Flintstone were the first TV couple to share a bed.
