I saw this guy this morning on my way back from a bike ride. I had to stop and take his picture I was laughing so hard. He offered to show me the back of the shirt as well,I had to be polite...

Cool shot! Kinda looks like a movie still. Thanks, nyc. I have to overcome my preference for nature shots to post stuff like this, as I'm NOT a city girl.

A pair of wind turbine vanes headed for windy Eastern Montana.

Gosh, Kimby, that gives me a better idea of the size of those things. From a distance it's hard to get a good perspective.

Funny, I saw a blade from one on a truck just last week, and I also thought "whoa, that is big!"

You're missing the pecans and the vidalia onions, htmb. ;D
oh, and the boiled peanuts, too.

You're missing the pecans and the vidalia onions, htmb. ;D oh, and the boiled peanuts, too. Unfortunately, too late for fresh vidalias, and too early for peanuts and pecans. Firecrackers, however, are always available in South Carolina (and are banned in most other southern states). People cross state lines just to purchase South Carolina fireworks.

Lucky shot?! No, that's a man with a camera, a great eye, and who was on the alert for the right moment.

I'll just add my humble voice to the genuflecting chorus of praise. The Canadian Rockies have their own very striking and peculiar beauty and you captured it.

Imec - That is one magical photo! If it was taken somewhere near Lake Louise or in the national parks, I have probably driven that same road in 2010. Did you stop to take the shot, or where you on the move?

Thanks everyone, but I still maintain it was a lucky shot (I've got a WHOLE bunch of bad ones too!). The picture was taken while driving (not stopped) on the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and the Athabasca Glacier. The parkway is one of the worlds great drives with the scenery becoming impossibly better and better with each turn. I do like this picture too but the real impact of the parkway is the seemingly never ending procession of scenes as beautiful and even more so than this one.

YES!! !! We drove that road - There are such beautiful aquamarine lakes created by the glacial Rock flour, or glacial flour. The rockies are so majestic. Together they make an awesome combination for photographers. Your wonderful photo is just one of those that has captured the entire atmosphere around there.

Well, the real lucky part was not getting any glare from the windshield which I did get in many of the shots.
