While I prefer not to get up close and personal with snakes, many of them are stunning in photos. These were some interesting and beautiful pictures.

My father was just as afraid of snakes as Indiana Jones. I am not a big fan myself, although the moment I am certain that they are harmless, I am not afraid of them... just somewhat revulsed.

Am in awe of snakes in general, not real phobic but, don't like to know if they're real prevalent in an area where I am. Particularly water snakes, scare the daylights out of me,will get real panic stricken if see one and I'm in the water nearby(rivers down here have lots of cottonmouths). Ignorance of plays a big part in people's fear I think. We have a native species of snake here in our garden and nearby environs, very harmless.Yet,I've known people who have called pest control to have eradicated after just seeing one. The pest control people told them they were rattlesnakes.!!! This infuriates me to no end! I am fascinated by,have found tiny eggs of underneath leaves. and young offspring of. I am also aware of how beneficial they are in pest control and are the 'good guys' in my garden.Occasionally, one of my cats will bring me one as a "present'. These in the link are quite beautiful.
