Wow! That's not only clever, it somehow makes you want to buy the product. I watched it twice, just because I've always loved the song so much. It's what pulled me into watching the series in the first place.
I wonder how Chevrolet got away with duplicating so much of The Sopranos opening credits -- paying for the privilege, making it just different enough, or those credits are now in the public domain?
Is that the real Meadow, or just someone who greatly resembles her?

Not having watched The Sopranos, I confess that the pertinence of this commercial was totally lost on me.

same for me - i looked up the opening credits on youtube now, so i see they are similar, but without that, it just seemed like a relatively boring car commercial to me.

It's a good thing that it was a commercial aimed only at the domestic audience. (And also a vehicle that nobody in Europe would ever want.)

Awww! I thought the guy looked somewhat familiar, but the fact that it was AJ got past me.
He sure got better looking -- taller, too.

Following Rikita's lead, I just looked up the original opening credits. Check out the very first comment beneath the video:
Ali Khalaf 7 days ago Who else is here after seeing Meadow in that Super Bowl commercial? R.I.P James Gandolfini ❤️
M Q 6 days ago Tony would never drive an EV Truck....
Christopher Casey 5 days ago Right here. Such an iconic intro.

This popped up in my fb Memories today. I don't know how I forgot about it, as it's gorgeous. The music is super, too.

It is very nice, but it may have been a mistake to avoid all references to modern Mexico. Folklore is insufficient as the only appeal for a country.

I hope these people are still alive, but it won't be a great loss if their building was bombed.

This would give me hope for the world if people really did this. But since I don't at all believe that 3 guys could live in this totally luxurious clean apartment, it is clearly a total fiction.

Hellfest is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) hard rock/death metal festivals in the world. This year it attracted 420,000 fans from around the world, which is about double the usual number since it was cancelled for two years. It also ran over two weekends this time instead of just one weekend.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting to see how the small town (pop. 7000) that hosts the festivals deals with the fans. This video shows the opening of the E. Leclerc hypermarket on the first day when beer and junk food must be stockpiled. The first part shows the staff being hyped by the manager just before opening, and then they let the mob in at 3:12....

The Chasseurs de Tornades (Tornado Hunters) attraction at the Futuroscope park in Poitiers just won the award in Orlando as the best attraction in the world this year, out of 200 candidates.
I have to admit that it looks pretty impressive.

Wonder what it's like for the audience. I expected to see the people in the seats flinching, but did not. You can see people's hair blowing, so there must be all kinds of effects.

This is perhaps the most endearing travel video I have ever encountered on the internet. Once the old grandpa enters the picture, there is no leaving him -- and he will certainly never leave you.

The second part of this video is a bit embarrassing for Canadians (but no worse than most other countries).

The son of a friend of mine now has a licence as an official drone pilot (no, not in Moscow), and he just made this short promo reel of some of his images.

I just asked his father if he had authorisation to overfly French cities like Strasbourg (which is the kid's hometown), and not only did he have a permit from the civil aviation authorities but that bit was paid for by the Strasbourg tourism office.

Just beautiful! I have to say that I think drone photography is one of the best things ever. Even in a video such as this, where it's easy to be distracted by the technique & aesthetic appeal, it's obvious how very useful drones cameras can be. And certainly all the high-budget tv series we have nowadays have benefited hugely from this process.
