Both good ones, but I adore the first one.

Wow. I've been in lots of Catholic churches and the altars wouldn't seem large enough for that sort of activity, not that I ever thought about it before.
I'm contacting Mindy for some makeup tips.

Actually, it's across the lake from NO, in a lovely wooded region. It's on the eastern edge of the parish (aka county) where I used to live. It's a bucolic small town, semi-famous as the home of the Honey Island Swamp Monster.

Best quote -
"I only went in for a chicken."

"I only went in for a chicken." And now it appears that the egg comes first, at least in Tesco.

They should have just said that the dildos would be donated to handicapped people with no possibility of finding a partner. Then it would have seemed cruel not to do it.

Yes, I saw that item, too. It was delightful, but the koala was kind of stupid for trying to eat plastic leaves (which is what I read in some of the other articles).

I think that is a delightful scam, particularly since it takes balls to do it in Seattle.

Two intriguing stories which made me look up information beyond the human interest angles. Adelaide family returns home to find koala perched on Christmas tree in lounge room Over the years, koalas have begun to amble further and further into Adelaide's suburbs as their native woodlands are deforested. Australia has one of the worst rates of deforestation in the world, leading to fragmented habitat as competition for resources increases. At the same time, ever rising temperatures also drive wildlife to shade. Today, koalas are a vulnerable species and a rare sight in the bush, however they are commonly found in suburban backyards and sometimes even houses. sourceFez-Wearers Making Bogus Demands This sounds as though it was written by Joe Friday, plus the writer sports an interesting shirt+tie choice. What I found surprising is how long this looniness has been around. I imagine some people who call themselves libertarians are squarely in the sovereign citizen spectrum. Sovereign citizens ... are usually groups of family members or close friends who share anti-government beliefs. They are rarely connected with other groups from different areas ... Typically, sovereign citizens do not consider themselves part of the United States, and therefore believe they are not subjected to paying taxes or adhering to most laws. The FBI lists the sovereign citizen movement as an extremist movement, and members of the movement as domestic terrorists. The catch is, being a sovereign citizen alone is not a crime, and until a sovereign citizen actually commits a criminal act, local law enforcement entities legally have no grounds to monitor or track them. source

Good grief! Thanks for that link (I think). The comment about one of the crazies being a good employee is telling in its own way. I assume most of these people appear normal most of the time, just as all those people in the US listening to "conservative radio" look and act like good, wholesome, Norman Rockwell Americans.

Good one, Kerouac! The school has made a lot of effort to encourage healthy eating. We have problems with childhood obesity.Well, if anything will ward that off, it's ice cream -- so much better than a grilled cheese sandwich.
