On my way up the A31 to Guildford I've often passed the sign to Shere...in fact it's near Charterhouse isn't it? so I must have driven through the village but I have never stopped there. It's only 45 minutes from Winchester. The White Horse pub looks the sort of place I'd like to have lunch. Nice pictures, Imec.

I find it hard to imagine people actually live in villages like that. It's almost too picturesque -- like something out of an Agatha Christie novel. Nice pictures though.

Oh, I think I could happily force myself to live there! On excursions like this, photo subjects are naturally of the most picturesque bits. But what about the fun sensibility of planting meerkats in that brilliant, but definitely northern, border? Or the casual naturalness of the back gardens to the mellow yellow houses?
Beautiful pictures, Imec!

England is always so green that I sometimes think that France looks like Nevada in comparison.

These English country towns do have a certain charm. They remind me a bit of 'Wind in the Willows ;D

Now I am picturing them in my mind in the February rain, and they do not seem as appealing.

Now I am picturing them in my mind in the February rain, and they do not seem as appealing. That's what pubs with fireplaces are for .

Sweet town, imec. Thanks. The photos make me want to drop by for a half pint. By the fireplace.
