We are planning a trip there very soon. We are planning to do primitive camping.
Has anyone been there or know anything about the area? Any advice?

Is that one of the places where you have to dress in orange to reduce the chance of getting shot?

Ha Ha K2! Actually that sounds like my own state at least for one week of the year... Land Between the Lakes is a National Recreation Area in the western part of Kentucky. We are going to do some camping there. I posted this on the chance someone here may have been there and had words of wisdom about it. But I know that's not very likely; I don't think it's that well known. But from what I have found out online it looks a good place to do some camping and fishing (I don't think hunting is allowed ) and it is far enough south that it should be pretty warm by Easter which is when we are going.

We've driven through several times, back in the 80's. It wasn't an attractant for us, as it was between destinations, and we wanted to make good road time. But for camping and fishing, it might be fine. Might be some good catfish and BBQ dinners thereabouts.

I've been camping there and yes I know this is too late, but I doubt I would have been much help anyways. I was only a kid when we were there. We stayed in a cabin in the woods. You sound like you've been camping before, so I guess the one piece of information I gleaned from that trip - wear a hat to keep off ticks - is unneeded.
