These seem to be a common type of streetlight in Florence: Pretty over the top for common street fixtures. The three legs just strike me as odd, like the Manx flag. Four would seem more natural. But who am I to criticize?

But four legs require a level surface, whereas a three-legged item can sit on any semi horizontal surface.
