Well Mossie, I will try and be a 'Clever Dick' and say that it is NOT a sculpture but a steel bollard to which a ship might hang its mooring ropes?

Your last photo, Kerouac, is beautiful and refined. Mine is a bit of a contrast, to say the least.

That reminds me of the "submerged bicycle" in the Parc de la Villette. Are there other pieces of the body emerging elsewhere?

Oh, yes, you're right! I knew it reminded me of something. Yes, there are other body parts sticking out of the ground. If I ever get around to making a report I'll include more photos. I think that's supposed to be Neptune's foot.

Oh, this page is full of treasure! Love how the gentle green of Kerouac's window ornamentation & railings gets echoed in the paint on Htmb's sun-softened Adirondack chairs. And then the silver patina of that amazing foot is matched by the golden glow on the chocolate rabbits -- nice. Htmb, super composition & framing on those two photos!

And thanks for making this thread pop to the top, as I haven't looked at it in quite a while and it's full of wonderful pictures.

Perfect for the season, and so beautifully composed and photographed. I just scrolled up the page and again noted your lovely example from All Souls day 2017.
