It's astonishing to read that report....and it's nice to know that these particular Indians have the time and money to take part in this procession and celebration and are not just slaving in the fields and on the roads.... good for them..

I've always loved watching Charlie Chaplin movies. Made me laugh, every time.
He was a 'tramp' though? I only just realized that! I always thought the character he played was just a quaint old man. Looks like they had fun with the procession.

That is a delightful article -- and very interesting that the obsession of a single man can change a town in such a way! I wonder if the poverty theme of most of the Chaplin films helped to strike an additional chord with the population.
