Someone had an idea....I will be honest and say it failed in my book. Wheat in abundance belongs far far away and nowhere near folks who have a lot of spondoodle ( money). Somehow it looks out of place....which of course it is. Thank Kerouac for bringing us this unusual sight!

It worked on the Champs Elysées about 20 years ago because they filled the ENTIRE avenue. It did not work on Place Vendôme.

Credit to Kerouac since he actually spotted this, but I happened to have my camera out ~

Just love the way the flags and wing form arrows pointing to the shoes. Well done!

Well spotted Kerouac and snapped by the expert! Does throwing shoes over a telephone or electricity wire mean anything? Here in Africa it does....what exactly I'm not sure but something to do with drugs I think.

Thanks, ladies! I've only seen gym shoes thrown over wires, so it was a hoot to see stilettos in high-fashion Paris. I've also heard that the shoes mean something, but know not what.

The decoration of the car reminds me of the art work on the carousels at the fairgrounds when I was very young. It also is like the wildly painted trucks which travel the Pakistan / India roads now.

As you can see, 'Pakistan' is painted on the back bumper of the car.

I remember Indian trucks are decorated but those in Pakistan are usually a lot more so. Love 'em.
K2, a quick question - recently travelling up and down France I noticed some cars have white number plates (as above) and some have yellow. Any idea why? Different tax classes or usage?

Since 2009, all plates are supposed to be white with black letters. I would presume that the yellow ones date from before 2009.

You are right, K2. I had not seen that as writing, too occupied with the colours.

Must be trying to eradicate English Ivy with sheep. I'm surprised sheep (or anything at all) will eat that stuff. Break a leaf and take a whiff, it smells vile/toxic. People sometimes use goats here to eliminate blackberries from places they've overgrown. It's not easy doing it with hand tools.
