I put on a pound last week...after losing a stone over 6 weeks. So I'm trying to get back to eating less (I need to lose another four or five stone).
Egg scrambled with a little milk, 6 Finn Crisp original crisp bread fingers spread with 20g low fat Go Go mature cheddar with black pepper cheese spread.

Losing a stone can be extremely painful, but it's all for the good in the end.

Pan de leña, mantequilla casera, an entire, perfectly ripe mango; coming next, two quesadillas, one of flor de calabaza, another of huitlacoche. Eggs are offered, but I'll pass. Strong black coffee, fresh grapefruit or white grape juice. (We are at an idyllic b'nb, near Malinalco, Mexico, Casa Navacoyan.)

Very nice breakfast at our Last accomodation - eggs in different preparation each day, fruit, pastry ... Now this place here has no breakfast included and as we got to go to the airport early, we just got some chocolate muffins and juice ...

First, a butter muffin and several cups of coffee in our hotel restaurant.
Later, a crusty baguette sandwich of prosciutto, cheese, arugula and pesto. That at Abarrotes Delirio, Colonia Roma, Mexico City. Also a jugo verde and a large, very potent cup of Café Americano.

Miscellaneous morsels of leftovers; a bit of rice, a bit of sweet and sour red cabbage soup, two hard cooked eggs. I'm all set now.

Huevos Tarascos, Café Americano, orange Juice, at La Surtidora in Pátzcuaro Huevos Tarascos is an elaborate egg concoction, based on a tortilla, with a slice of ham, corn grains, beans and covered in a Salsa Negra. It's quite good. I couldn't find a picture. Wait! Here's an ancient archival photo. But the eggs were fresh at the time of shooting.

Would it be served in the morning as well?

I had leftover tuna salad for breakfast. Before my travels to Asia, I would have never eaten 'inappropriate' things for breakfast, but that is where I learned that anything goes.

my family always thought i was weird for occasionally eating lunch or dinner leftovers for breakfast ... but yeah, being in other countries taught me that a lot of things can be breakfast food ...

When talking with my friend about our upcoming holiday to Italy, she was surprised to learn that at breakfast on our past holidays in Germany, Switzerland and Austria there were a lot of meat and cheese choices for breakfast. Not very common in the area we live in here in Canada. She is looking forward to experiencing the choices!

Not common in the US, either. I was surprised by the breakfast offerings in Sicily, which were as you describe, Mich.

i thought in the US it is common to have things like sausages or bacon for breakfast? or do you mean things like salami and leberwurst and mortadella, when you say meat?
