Sort of a cross-over thread, as there are commuter trains in Trains, and I just saw a photo of the Paris metro in Everyday Life.
Still, this is a subject that calls out for more exploration.
A spiffy visiting moto-taxi parked on my road.
The regular moto-taxis for my neighborhood.
This is a panel behind the driver's seat on a city bus. All the buses have the panels, usually in plexiglas, sometimes metal, but always ornamented with a big decal of some kind. Jesus seems to be the most popular subject, although cartoon figures are frequently seen as well.
I looked closely at the two trolleybuses, and they're actually identical, except for how they're painted.
The streetcars in Lviv are amazing to me, as I've never seen any that long. Love the little "cowcatchers" on the ones in Lisbon. The elevador is fascinating. I'd be afraid of stepping off and rolling right back down the hill.
That's the assistant leaning out the door in my picture above. Generally on city buses they don't take the money, just yell the destinations and bang on the side of the bus to let the driver it's okay to go.
