Thank you - He has my son's Italian good looks but he definitely has his mother's enormous blue eyes!

The only negative comment is the Doctor's private parking lot is in front of the entrance to the Rehabilitation Centre. The out-patient disabled coming to the Hospital for their therapy have to walk a far distance around the other side of the building from where there is a public parking lot. Poor planning but the worst is that this is a planning error that will probably not be rectified as the Doctor's will not give up their parking lot and switch to the public lot, which has approximately the same amount of spaces. Perhaps the doctors are all disabled? Perhaps it is the Doctors empathy gene that is disabled? In my experience, though, the doctors all carry pass cards that allow them entry to locked doors that no hospital visitors may use. So if they parked in the inconvenient lot, they could probably walk right in, without having to walk to a public door. This problem should be fixable. Whether it will be fixed remains to be seen.

I hope it will be fixed, it is difficult for the disabled to walk through the snow and ice to get around to the public entrance. There are all kinds of problems with the new building and we all understand it will take time to assess them all and to find resolutions.
Our new hospital was combined with our Psychiatric Hospital. The first time two such facilities have been attempted to be housed together. Unfortunately, the first week the hospital opened, one of the out-patient psychiatric patients committed suicide in the atrium of the common area by jumping off the staircase rail. This was very shocking and traumatic for patients and staff sitting in the atrium at the time and counselling for all those concerned was offered.

Standing at the bus stop in Charles Street (Leicester)....my shopping bags... and people waiting for their bus over the road....the pic was taken through the perspex of the bus shelter, so it isn't that clear..

Great pics, Cheery. Every one of them suggests "hurry" to one degree or another, so they really convey "modern". All of them are so good, but that last photo is super. I think the fact that they're shot through the bus shelter window makes them even better.

omg....(said the atheist...) words fail me....
I've decided not to use the c word at all if I can help it this year, even 'yuletide' leaves me cold nowadays. The powers that be at the local council are calling it 'Winterval' covering all the different religious festivals and trying to avoid offending anybody at all....failing of course, but I quite like it....

One of my local bums is becoming increasingly annoying. On any sunny days, he just lies on the sidewalk to soak up the sun in various states of undress. But when he is not doing that, he is doing all sorts of other things like inspecting his junk (for lice? for canker sores? for admiration of his own physical beauty?). For example today he had pulled his trousers down once again and was doing who-knows-what?

I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this thread and I WAS going to say how delightful I found it, until I saw the last picture. :-( Nice camera work, anyway.

I have photographed that bench from my kitchen window so many times. It is a magical place.

It's probably a hotbed of interesting germs and possibly little critters.

Gorgeous train station, and those desserts are works of art!
Nice one, Htmb. I never get tired of seeing wedding parties.

bixa, that is a beautiful photo, between the composition, the colour scheme and the sense of style on display.
I'm imagining the picture books on what used to be called "private parts" juxtaposed with Kerouac's resident homeless morpion inspector.

Thank you so much, LaGatta. I was pleased with that picture. The drone was being used -- rather pointlessly, I thought -- to take pictures of a wedding party.

The photo is gorgeous. I didn't even notice the drone when I first saw it.
