Nice one, Mossie. I expect to see Tom or John Barnaby appear from behind the corner.

Beautiful sky and clouds. What's that big metal thing on the left -- some kind of radio tower?
Kidding aside, your photo is lovely and a masterwork of this topic.

Wow, how is it that the whole picture in the link wasn't posted. it's mind blowing.
I also wanted to praise
iconic pic.
If I knew where it was, I would direct you to a thread that Kerouac did on the fall of the wall. Positively memorable.

I also had missed this thread. Wonderful! Is the last one also Brooklyn Bridge? Which is far more obvious in HTMB's. Mossie's cottage is also wonderful and most iconic. And the last NYC photos had me welling up - I remember that morning - perusing the internet in my home office was still a novely - and the weird gradual understanding of WTF was going on at the WTC - at first it seemed a dreadful accident. A NYC friend was a freelancer for Bloomberg news - headquartered there. One of his best friends ran down the stairs to escape. I didn't ask him further questions.

Lagatta: Yes, that is the Brooklyn Bridge and the bridge in HTMB's photo is the Manhattan Bridge, right next door.
I used to live there in the 80's and these were taken with film. I used the WTC as a guide, every time you popped out of the subway, you could look for the WTC to see which direction you needed to go.

Wow Cheery you must have been so close to my home . I am, of course, very biased but for me the Wye is one of the most beautiful rivers in the world.
Bubba , those photos are just outstanding and really heart-rending.
