I'm making a last minute trip to visit my daughter who's working in Yellowstone, flying in and out of Jackson. When she picks me up and drops me off I'd like to take her for lunches nicer than those offered at the YS employee cafeteria. Local casual would be ideal.
Any ideas?

I'll ask my mother, who's been there, although it was a while back. She said JH is quite ritzy.

Ritzy is my impression, too, Bixa, never having set foot in the place. (but surely there's a place where hotel maids, lab techs, ski shop clerks, ie my people, could go.) My dtr should be able to get recommendations from coworkers, too.

It's fun ! And you can't miss it, it's right in the center and can't be overseen. Oooohhh... I loved Jackson Hole ;D

My, my. Back home already. If I can figure out how to post cell phone photos I'll do a little report.
Highly recommend, some of these by fodors.com recommendation, others stumbled upon: Sweetwater on King St. a block off the Square. Pearl St. Bagels -- grab an iced Wild Tribe Mocha if it's a hot day. Dornan's, just past the airport towards Yellowstone. There's the Chuckwagon thing, on picnic tables out by the tipi, major cowboy all you can eats, or sitting on the deck overlooking the Snake River for pasta and pizza. Bon Appe Thai , not to be confused with Thai Me Up down the street. and for a quiet drink but envying the people at the next table enjoying something Italian that smelled wonderful: Nani's on Glenwood.

I lived in Wyoming for two years, and used to be able to list a half dozen good and not glitzy restaurants in Jackson/Teton Village, but over the years I believe they have almost if not all closed their doors...
