Another "wall" commercial, this time by the Italian jean company Diesel.

I can't tell you how much I hate all those "wall" ads. Obviously the cynicism is nauseating, but they're also just plain stoooooopid.
The Intermarché ad is beyond delightful *sniffle*. So sweet -- I just love it!

newest ad of the bvg (berlin underground trains and busses) - an "aria of complaints" - people singing abotu all the things they dislike in trains, and then singing that without the bvg they wouldn't have anything to complain, and they like complaining ...

I like this ad from the France Télévisions group, using only clips from their actual programmes.

The BVG ad is outstanding -- so well done, fun to watch, and a great message.
The French tv ad is really sweet and fun too.

It's not immediately obvious where this commercial is going.

There used to be an ad for Dial soap, with the pitch person proclaiming, "I'm glad I use Dial, don't you wish everyone did?"
That kind of message needs to be used for V.I.Poo. 😁

This is not really progressive -- it is sad. When stars from other countries have to expatriate for commercials in order to pay their taxes or alimony, it is never good news. There is a gigantic series of these on French TV at the moment.

It's nice when a major supermarket chain denounces the evils of food colouring.

Not technically "progressive" but I was amused to see sloths used to promote a dynamic product.

This commercial, on the other hand, I find morally magnificent. And it does not tell you to buy anything that you see.

In France, videos are just about the only advertising tool left for politicians, since television and radio ads are banned, as well as posters. The one and only place that you can see campaign posters are on the official signboards in front of polling stations.

That is lovely -- low-key, engaging, and effective. I was even able to understand it by using the captions, which are in French.

OMG, there are a hundred mistakes in those subtitles. It must have been translated by a machine with its hearing aid turned off.
In Brussels, the museum of modern art is called Maya In Brussels, the art deco museum is called Rudy and the memorial for the Great War is called Fernand In Brussels, the national library is called Naïma and Alex is the national opera because in Brussels, the real monuments are the people.

Oh, I loved that little clip! Brussels is endearing, although it isn't always as "cohesive" as Paris or Amsterdam.

But that is EXACTLY what I understood from watching the commercial with the subtitles! Oddly enough, I don't pounce on grammatical mistakes in French.

"The same timing of the Great War is called Fernand."
"At Vaucelles, the national library is called Naima."
Those are not grammatical mistakes -- that is incomprehension!

Are some of the people in it celebrities in Nigeria?

On YouTube itself, it lists the cast in the presentation as though they are. I actually saw this commercial while watching CNN because Africa, Europe and the Middle East are all in the same advertising base, apparently.

Those are mini movies! The woman in the paisley green outfit in the 2nd video (she's also in the 1st) really looks familiar.
