Very beautiful photo, Rikita.
Looking at Mick's 4th pic again, and marveling at the rampant maidenhair fern and at the moss on the rock. *sigh* It's been a long time since I've lived where mossy brick and stone were common.

SO beautiful and so interesting! I really like how they've massed so much dark foliage in the first picture, but enlivened it with sparks of white and red flowers & variegated undergrowth. That fern at the apex of the bed is the perfect touch.
The bromeliad is just astounding -- so perfect.
I'm really intrigued by this bottom picture & the mix of plants in it -- Aeoniums in the midst of all that froth! I recognize lavender in the upper left, Oenothera (??) on the right, but can't tell what that is behind the Aeonium. Is that nigella in front of it?

It certainly looks like Nigella but I can't be sure. I actually found this in the temperate house rather than the cactus and succulent house which I wasn't expecting.

These are seedlings of succulent Pelargoniums which I planted together in a effort to speed them up-

I LOVE those pelargoniums!! I don't think they would 'do' here.

I LOVE those pelargoniums!! I don't think they would 'do' here. They are winter growrs and die down in summer. Any good?

Those pelargoniums are about as beautiful as anything I could imagine.

Thank you good people!! Yes, it is Perilla and mint! Good eye Bixa!! (At first glance, this may appear to be lichens, or cypress leaves. "Tis neither. It's a fern ally, Selanginella,Meadow Spikemoss, a fabulous ground cover like fern that does beautifuly over rocks or pots, hugging the area it grows on. It's native to here and naturally love, loves our climate.)

Wasn't sure where this one belonged. Is there a "motion" thread? For now, the autumn leaves qualify it for this thread. (It's an accidental photo taken while walking a trail in an autumn woods.)

Yes. That photo was taken while I was way down in the bottom of the giant sinkhole "Devils Millhopper."

Almost an abstract. Too exotic for their own good, but lovely all the same

What with all your potted plants, Bixa, you must spend hours tending to them each day.

Must be really hard to find someone to take care of it all if you ever decide to take off on a vacation.

In a bit of dazzling good fortune, I have a friend who will do it AND he's a professional.
