A bit warm for early April although it seems silly to complain. Yesterday it was 26°, today is supposed to be a bit cooler but at 11 am it's already 17.

Paris was the warmest place in France last night (13°) and is expected to be the warmest and sunniest place in all of confined France today.

Sweltering 30C today. Had morning tea & cake outside but couldn't wait to come back inside.

Lovely here, very hot and sunny. If we weren't stuck at home we would probably drive to the coast...along with hundreds of thousands of others....
I've been gardening but had to come inside because it was too hot outside.

Very erratic weather in Montana lately, which is normal for this time of year. But it’s hard to deal with a return to winter when spring was making us yearn for summer.
We got a lot of yard work done the past few days with afternoons warming to 69 F (20.5C). Our “normal” daily low and high this time of year is 34-58F (1 to 14.5C).
It rained last night and Easter weekend is going to be chilly: 14-38F (-10 to 3C). It may even snow. Sigh...

Graupel! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GraupelOur version of graupel is more like little white styrofoam spheres than what I’d call “sleet” (the German translation)

And now it’s snowing in earnest. Reallly?! How’m I gonna participate in a social-distancing Easter parade in my pastel frock and Easter bonnet tomorrow? 😉

The weather today in North Florida is very nice. Near perfect, dry temperatures with a light breeze. Comfortable enough to wear shorts and T-shirt’s, but not break much of a sweat while on a long walk. We drove about ten minutes to the university campus and walked the dog there. It’s shaded, with a variety of architectural building styles and the landscape is very well-maintained. We saw about 20 other people while on our 2 1/2 mile walk, but most were the diehard athletic-types who were coming out of the football stadium where they are allowed to run "stadium steps."

How’m I gonna participate in a social-distancing Easter parade in my pastel frock and Easter bonnet tomorrow? 😉 All frilled up and nowhere to go! That sounds so pleasant & Springlike, Htmb. It's only nice here right now in the morning and late evening. And even the evening breeze has more of the feeling of pizza oven than balminess. Yesterday I covered the tall window in my bedroom, which faces west, with aluminum foil. It probably looks like crap from outside, but doesn't face where anyone can really see it. Unfortunately it was already getting hot when I did this, so wasn't able to really assess any relative coolness last night. But this morning I brought out the big guns -- some white oilcloth that is luckily the same size as the window. The room could now be rented out as a darkroom, but I'm hoping that it was kept cooler today when the afternoon sun hit it.

Now you see the advantage of having shutters on your windows, Bixa!
We had sunny and warm weather earlier in the week, but yesterday afternoon it cooled off a bit. They keep forecasting rain but although it looks as though a bit fell during the night, the ground looks dry. Already 15° at 7 this morning.

I must have the traditional moan about the weather. Normally at Easter we get bad weather, I even remember snow. But this year all last week has been glorious and now on Easter Day it is wall to wall sunshine! Just when we are all cooped up at home. Whatever or whoever up there in charge has really got it in for us and make us suffer for the overcrowding by trying to impose “social distancing”.

There is a traditional saying in France: Noël au balcon, Pâques au tison, if it's nice at Christmas, it's cold at Easter. I seem to remember that it was really mild at Christmas. It's certainly not cold today (16°, one degree up since this morning) but it just started to rain.

Cheery, many a happy hour was spent playing in the dunes at Mablethorpe as a kid then to Chip Pan Alley for us supper before we came back. Hunstanton was a few times but not many. I have little memory of it. But, on the journey to the east coast from us we always passed a pub (maybe Lincoln way?) and the landlord had a full sized stuffed bear he's put out front of the doorway most weekends.

We’ve just experienced a deluge, with lots of lightening/thunder and expect to be under a tornado watch for at least the next hour. The worst seems to have moved off to the North East of us, but the poor dog, who has become quite unused to these kind of storms since living in NYC for the past several years, is still curled up at my feet for protection from the storm.

HTMB, that's the same system that passed through here this weekend. Gratefully, we were spared any tornadoes but the wind was really whipping up.
The rain however, was most welcome.
Today it's sunny, clear and dry. Temps in the 70's.
A gorgeous day.

Stormy weather late last night/early morning brought on a heavy downpour for about an hour. No wind damage here but folks North and West of us were not so fortunate.
More rain due today intermittently.
High 70F's and breezy.
It feels really good outside this a.m.
My garden is very happy.

Paris has remained the warmest city in France (with a few other cities like Strasbourg tied) for several days. But it's not a heat wave, just an unseasonal but pleasant 25-26°. Tonight there were several brief showers with distant thunder.
