As far as I'm concerned,he can stay vanished,I can't stand this guy. I find him arrogant, and pouty,and a prima donna. I was real disappointed in his being the actor chosen to play Johnny Cash. in Walk the Line.
Probably,just a publicity stunt to drum up some exposure,intrigue...

I truly thought Walk the Line was an over-rated movie, and didn't have any feelings about Joaquin Phoenix one way or the other until I saw Two Lovers.
