to india, that is. it was a vague plan for such a long time, but in the last weeks we finally managed to arrange things - and in a week, we are going! for half a year, rather than a full year, but still... quite excited. and really exhausted as i spend all day running from one place to the other lately, and that won't get any better until we leave, either... still gotta pack up my whole apartment, and put everything in boxes in the attic...

Thanks for checking in, rikita. I've been checking your blog regularly, but I am sure you are pretty busy -- both with your activities and just adjusting to all of the differences.

It's Rikita ~~ busy, hot, and dressed exotically!
Rikita, thanks so much for taking the time to say hi here. Kidding aside, it's obvious from your extremely interesting blog that you have lots to do there. It all sounds wonderful.

I heard about that, rikita. Must have been very convenient (perhaps obligatory?) living in the bishop's house or whatever.

hello... photos will follow in a while, might take me a bit... the wedding was fun, the cake was good but only had a little bit... it is more stressful than one things to get married, but still very nice... and the honeymoon is even nicer...
actually i wasn't staying at the bishop's house, my husband was - now, after the honeymoon, he will come to stay at the village, with me...
anyway, i am very happy, showing off my minnu (or thali - a small pendant you get here when you get married) to everyone... and looking at my ring... and at mr. rikita of course - but i was doing that already before at any chance i got...

BIG GIANT HUGS, Rikita!
Hi ~~ I'm thrilled to see you online & to be able to extend my happiness for you & best wishes "in person".
It sounds wonderful, but yes I guess it was a bit of a whirlwind. Were any of your parents able to be there?

I finally read all of the details on your blog, rikita, and the accompanying photographs are even more spectacular than usual. This is such an adventure -- but that is what I think life is supposed to be anyway. (Some strange people seem to think that life should be as calm and peaceful as possible.)

Riki, your blog is great and I am trying to keep up. You are married now! How exciting to do this in another culture...your green wedding sari is beautiful! You wear it well. Happiness to you and Mr. Rikita.

thanks!
saturday i am invited to another wedding here, so i will have another opportunity to war my wedding sari - which is nice, would have been a shame if my own wedding had been the only occasion on which i wore it...
