What delicate, beautiful photographs, Myrt!
You must have taken those quite early, as each crystal is so perfect. I am completely in love with #four, but they're all exquisite.

Get out there this morning Cheery! Thanks Bixa and Tod2 I think I shall be able to provide shots of frosted plants on a daily basis for the next few months.... Blue skies and sub zero temperatures are a very beautifulcombination though - it's the rain rain rain that's harder to deal with..

I just read your "rain rain rain" aloud, in a husky, intimate, almost moaning way. We're well into the high and dry season here, and I'm yearning for rain. Myrt, I went back and looked at your beautiful thread on where you live, and admired the fluffy low-pressure clouds in the last photo in the OP. Do you all have some rain or precipitation all year long, or is it dry in the wintertime?

I live in a fairly dry area, Bixa - one of the driest in the UK really but that is mostly confined to the summer months - we tend to get a long dry spell in early summer and then it rains and storms all through August This time of year seems to be very very wet mainly now with reasonable temperatures some years but the real chill starts after January.....the winds blow straight from the Arctic circle onto the north coast of Norfolk. It's quite an odd climate really.....but most climates are odder than previously aren't they now? I love it - I like the seasons changing and the huge differences in the weather on a daily basis - that's part of the pleasure of living isn't it? We had a really old fashioned winter last year - very gruelling if you work outside as I do - but us peasants get a real sense of achievement from overcoming ice and snow, high wind, scorching sun and everything in between..... ;D It doesn't seem that long ago it was pouring all over Mexico......and now you're parched....fascinating isn't it?

Very nice, myrt. First frost here just means a bit of white crust in the gutter.

Splendid scenery and detail Myrt - well done! I would love to see it but wouldn't swop the temperature with mine right now

Myrt! Those pictures are beyond beautiful, and with so much delicate detail. I particularly love the silver one (spiderweb) and the gold ones (money plant), but they're all exquisite.

Beautiful photos myrt, I find a certain childlike wonder in them. I wish our first frost happened this late!
