This must have started as some sort of pagan observance, somewhere, somehow. I say that the groundhog should be sacrificed and eaten, regardless of his/her prediction.

You Canadians get bloodthirsty as winter wears on! It's Candelaria here. I'm trying to get some oomph to go take pictures of more of those damned babies darling little Jesus statues.

I think a plump groundhog, stuffed with a hazelnut dressing and braised in white wine, would be delicious.

It sort of felt like winter this morning in my house, as the temperature had dropped to 50F during the night. And don't forget, it's also Candelaria.

Everybody in France is supposed to eat crêpes for the Chandeleur today. Oddly enough, I have never done it a single time on this day.
