According to LifeSome them are indeed extremely famous, and sometimes we were looking in another direction during the event.

I must have been looking in the other direction a lot. I remember a few only. I know of most of the events but really don't think Britney Spears shaving her head is worthy of a "photo of the decade" accolade. I have a deep antipathy to celebrity stupidity.

Some of those things must have been selected because they were such great pictures, such as the one of the "construction worker" (no name?!) rescuing the woman from the river.
I didn't look at any of the photos that had warnings on them. Many without warnings were upsetting enough.
Did I miss this -- where's the tsunami?

The tsunami had a warning tag.

Some astonishing, all thought provoking....many were disturbing.

The ones with the warning tag were no more disturbing than many of the others...

That's what I thought, too. There were some dead bodies (big deal) but no gore. Funny how they think that people can watch unlimited violence and mayhem in a movie but can't stand it when it is real.

The ones with the warning tag were no more disturbing than many of the others... I thought so too. I went through it twice...the second time bracing myself to look at the tagged ones. I don't watch/like pretend violence either.
