My first impulse was to say "white jonquils" but white jonquils still have a small yellow centre, so I don't know.

Not sure what this fruit tree is exactly, might be a cherry.

I never saw Fumobici's exquisite 3-D flowers against that distant darkening sky -- outstanding!
Kerouac, that exuberant display somehow evokes a cold city waking up to Spring.

Beautiful...the blossom is just starting to open on the fruit trees here, I don't feel like spring has really arrived until the forsythia starts to flower...mine hasn't yet.

I never saw Fumobici's exquisite 3-D flowers against that distant darkening sky -- outstanding! I was back by that tree near my house in Italy this Fall and I can now report that it is an apple tree. Thanks for noticing!

Is that a witch hazel in Kerouac's photo? As a gardener you will appreciate this, Cheery -- I was with two other women downtown the other day & one wanted to buy a bottle of witch hazel for her face, but didn't know the Spanish name for it. I said, give me a second & I'll tell you -- it's the botanical name. They ignored me & looked it up on a phone. Oh, what a surprise ~ the name is "agua de hamamelis". churchyard not far from me where the spring bulbs have really naturalised over the years Beautiful picture & glorious display, Patrick! You must look forward to that every year. I can now report that it is an apple tree. Thanks, Fumobici -- I just enjoyed it again.

You can listen to it as well in this video I took of the tree that day. Earbuds are best for immersion.

They might just be cherry blossoms. I actually searched on Google and just about all of the photos of identical flowers were labelled "pink spring blossoms" which really isn't much help.
