From Facebook:
About a year and a half ago, Debbie and I mutually acknowledged that our paths in life were diverging to a point where it wasn't in ours or Lucy's best interests to stay together. Our divorce is now final, and since the advent of Facebook makes it pretty much impossible to address a relationship status change gracefully, I wanted to say a few things. To all of our friends and loved ones, know that we have nothing but the greatest fondness for each other and are enjoying energetic success as communicative and cooperative co-parents. To our families, thank you for the love and support in getting through this. For those who can’t tell from all the photos, Lucy is an exceptionally loving, empathetic, and spirited young human being and literally grows more so everyday. I am truly grateful to Debbie for the patience, perspective, and positivity she has the good grace to employ in all of our interactions. I am also thankful that she brought a fantastic person into her and Lucy's life in her relationship with Matt. I can honestly say from the heart that I am happy for all of us, all of us are happy, and we are all happy for each other. It’s a regular love fest up in here. To all those hoping for a soap-operatic scandal, sorry to disappoint. Life is too short. Love somebody
(Forwarded to me by a friend. I've changed the names even though I don't know these people.)

Okay, this isn't from a forum but from my spam folder for email, but I thought it was delightful. U.S. Customs And Border Protection Office of Border Patrol Ronald Reagan Building, Washington, D.C. From The Desk of: Michael J. Fisher Chief of the Border Patrol Web Page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_J._Fisher www.cbp.gov/about/leadership/assistant-commissioners-office/border-patrol
Dear Beneficiary,
RE:ATM CARD PAYMENT PACKAGE ONHOLD
This message is from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol/ Monitoring Unit. I am pleased to inform you that your ATM Card worth Ten Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars (US$10.5m) sent from Nigeria as part of your overdue payment/funds was returned to our office last week from Atlanta, Georgia where it was held due to one unavailable document. According to information reaching us, the ATM Card was returned due to your failure to pay the necessary charges required by the delivery company to enable it pass through the security agency.
However, after due investigation was made, we noticed that your ATM Card was stopped and delay unnecessarily. Georgia office told us that your ATM Card has no INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY PERMIT, that was why you are told to pay sum amount of money which you did not pay. But after further investigation, it was very clear that your ATM Card has the INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY PERMIT (IDP) attached to it therefore you are no longer required to pay the money you were asked to pay. Now the only money you are required to pay is $95 only billed for CUSTOMS AND BORDER CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE to clear your file and receive your ATM Card devoid further hindrance. Note that they will process the NIGERIA CUSTOMS AND BORDER CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE and send it to us as soon as you send the money to them.
Get back to me with your full name, preferred delivery address and direct/cell phone number then I will direct you where to send the $95 so that your ATM Card will be delivered to your preferred address without any delay. If you're still have interest in receiving your ATM Card, kindly get back to me.
You can also contact me here ( office201313@gmail.com )
Best Regards,
Michael J. Fisher Chief of the Border PatrolI think it is absolutely wonderful that there is a Wikipedia link, because everybody knows that everything on Wikipedia is true.

Question
Due to the health concern, I separate yolk (yellow part) from egg before frying. Is it allowable in Isalm as it is a wastage. Can I request my wife to remove yolk for me? She is hesitant to do that for me as she thought she would be held responsible for the wastage.
Answer
It is impermissible for Muslims to eat what harms them; Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {…And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allaah is to you ever Merciful.}[Quran 4:29]
Moreover, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.” [Ahmad]
Hence, there is no harm in removing the yolk from egg before eating it; however, it is impermissible to throw it away and let it go to waste. Throwing it away constitutes waste. Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {... and do not spend wastefully.}[Quran 17:26] Al-Mugheerah ibn Shu‘bah may Allaah be pleased with him reported that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “Allaah has forbidden you from being undutiful to mothers, burying alive your daughters, denying the rights of others, and claiming something without right. And He dislikes three things for you: gossip, asking too many questions (for things which will be of no benefit to one) and wasting of wealth.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
Therefore, you can give it to someone else to eat or use it to feed chickens, birds or the like.

I thought this was an out-of-the-ordinary experience:
I was hit by a tram
and survived.
Walking down the sidewalk on the Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich, I saw a tram coming from Usteristrasse. I stopped to allow it to pass me as it turned onto the Bahnstrasse. As it was turning, a back car swung out farther than I had anticipated and pushed me hard on the ground. Wearing a short sleeve shirt, I landed on my elbows but got up immediately. People around me came up and asked if I was alright. I felt foolish, embarrassed and thought I was fine.
I continued my walk past the Apple Store and stopped in front of Manor. I was feeling very odd and my elbows were bleeding. I thought, what better place to rest than at a cosmetic counter in Manor. I went in, sat down and started chatting with the staff.
"Hello, may I help you?" "Not really. I just need to sit down for a moment. I don't feel very good." "Are you OK?" "I think so. I just got hit by a tram but there's nothing broken. I am bleeding from my elbow. Would you happen to have a band aid?" They gave me some cotton. "Are you sure you're OK? You look pale."
And the next thing I knew, I was on the floor, surrounded by a crowd of people, a beautiful cosmetic saleswoman cradling my head in her arms and a sprite young man holding my legs up. Another woman had a blood pressure machine.
They realised I had "come to" again although my eyes had never closed. We all agreed it was probably only the shock of the accident as I had no other symptoms. I regained some strength as they quickly got a wheelchair and wheeled me to the next door medical clinic. There I got a complete check-up, an IV drip and wonderful care as I regained my strength.
Later, as I was taking the train home, I felt grateful to be alive and, besides scratched up elbows, happy for not receiving any serious injuries. I was also feeling foolish for not stepping just a bit more back as the tram swung by. Suddenly, a conductor was in front of me asking for my ticket. I gladly gave it to him. He fined me SFr. 75 francs. I was aghast and asked him why. "Because you're sitting in first class with a second class ticket." I had no idea that I had been in the wrong class and explained to him about my day.
He refused to give in.
You win some and you lose some.
Welcome to Switzerland. :-)
Frankly, I have spent so much time on Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich that it is quite difficult for me to imagine being hit by a tram there.

I can see how something like that might happen on that street, particularly if one might not be accustomed to being around trams.

On another site, someone has created an amusing new account. I will admit that I have had a few conflicts with "gracejoan" in the past just because she is a rich crone who spends 2-3 months in Paris every year and documents every meal and any other thing she does with "dear old friends" who have dollar signs in their eyes. And yet, I'm sure that she is a very nice and interesting person, in a condescending way. She has just announced her impending arrival (like the messiah) and so far these two messages are on her thread. imageshack.com/a/img673/4424/23R0l9.jpgimageshack.com/a/img903/3158/KcAPIT.jpg

BE SMART AND BECOME RICH IN LESS THAN 3DAYS....It all depends on how fast you can be to get the new PROGRAMMED blank ATM card that is capable of hacking into any ATM machine, anywhere in the world. I got to know about this BLANK ATM CARD when I was searching for job online about a month ago..It has really changed my life for good and now I can say I'm rich and I can never be poor again. The least money I get in a day with it is about $20,000.(twenty thousand USD) and i only spent 300$ to get the card with the help of Miss moyes.Only serious individuals should contact her because she is very straight forward if you don't have the money don't even bother to contact her because her service is 100% trusted i am a living testimony. Every now and then I keeping pumping money into my account. Though is illegal, there is no risk of being caught ,because it has been programmed in such a way that it is not traceable,it also has a technique that makes it impossible for the CCTVs to detect you..For details on how to get yours today, email wellbeck tyler on : (atmhackgeek@gmail.com). tell your loved once too, and start to live large. That's the simple ..
I think that what astonished me the most is the fact that it makes it impossible to be seen on CCTV. Perhaps it is delivered with an invisibility cloak?

And no doubt comes direct from Nigeria, that explains the invisibility. While you are wondering about it, it is your bank account that is being emptied.

11 Reasons why I was attracted to Catholicism.
1. Our Lady of Guadalupe is my protector, and my Lady. 2. The Virgin Mary supported me from San Jose, CA to here in Switzerland. I have stayed in places where her figures are displayed and I found shelters in catholic churches. 3. The Virgin Mary gave me an opportunity to see miracles in my life. She showed me what to follow and warned me everything ahead. It was just amazing that before my second trip to San Jose, she told me, “it is my faith in her that would keep me sane.” And it happened to be so with almost 24 hour V2K. 4. Rosary prayer was very effective to overcome V2K harassment. DOD was working on “direct hearing” electronic harassment to try to make me insane. However, by praying rosary, I could focus my mind on the prayers. While I was in Germany, I prayed Ave Maria for whole day to avoid hearing voices. That actually made me immune to V2K persuasions. 5. There are many martyrs as the ideal examples. We have enough models for almost every situation of the follower. 6. Praying to the saints actually worked. I learned about St. Frances of Assisi and St. John of the Cross at the Sophian Gnositic church in Palo Alto, CA. However, I learned that they were catholics. If they are thought as holy from what they believed, then it is better to learn what they were preaching. When I asked St. Frances of Assisi to protect my journey, I made my life safe in Europe and find a shelter in Switzerland. Now, I am trying to follow the life like St. Clara did. 7. Previous Pope John Paul II helped me to learn Catholicism in my spiritual struggle. My connection with Catholicism started in two places; Mission Santa Cruz and Mission Camel. In Mission Camel, I prayed at the Our Lady of Bethlehem statue, where Pope John Paul II made his private prayer in his trip to California Missions. While I was running away from American gang stalkers, I made pilgrimage to CA Missions. I saw some pictures of John Paul II in several Missions. It also happened in Lourdes, France. Now, I believe his holiness more than just he was the pope. 8. Mary Magdalene is thought as the tower of strength. As the Bible says, Catholics value Jesus' intention of stressing her role in his life and his teaching. 9. In France, the Mary Magdalene related church I visited was a Catholic one. I never thought that they have catholic church with her name on it. When I wrote down my wish to visit France was to see Mary Magdalene's place. I was thinking about the Gnostic one in southern France, but the one I visited in Paris was Catholic one. 10. I have lots of things to learn in Catholicism, and we have living role models working in Vatican City. We can find e-texts and mp3 preaches for Catholics quite easily because its the most historical Christianity. 11. The Virgin Mary asked me to send my Gnostic books home. I brought bunch of Catholic books including “Catholic Manual” from California. If she say so, I better follow that to avoid any problem in future.

Sorry, I'm fascinated by this person and am doing as much research as I can before she "disappears".
She's Japanese, I have no idea what age, and obviously is independently wealthy, although she's always writing how she gets ripped off in taxis and hotels. She wanders Europe in a paranoid haze. She takes photos of cars that she thinks are following her, compiles them on dvds and sells them to strangers on the street.
Mental illness is very sad.

But she was also happy to wear a hijab because it got her normal prices rather than tourist prices.

Oh my. Best be on your guard, Kerouac, she's going to be in Paris in a day or two. What I think is most interesting about the post below is that this Asian woman thinks that sitting outside of a synagogue in Budapest weating a homemade yellow star that says "targeted individual" is such a good idea.
