I love comedy shows...especially good old Monty P...thought that it might be nice to entertain each other with some tantalising glimpses of our favourite shows. This is probably my favourite MP sketch...today it is anyway...

More blasts from the past. These still crack me up. Actually, watching Frank Zappa crack up is as funny as the skit itself.

I've always enjoyed the Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon sketch, but apparently it is now only available in censored form.

Oh, I'd forgotten that one -- funneeee!
Remember the response to it? Can't find a full & uncensored version for it either, plus the uploader got Jimmy Kimmel's name wrong, but the quality is okay. Be sure to carefully watch the other participants in the video.

An excellent, thought provoking young man called Steve Hughes (introduced by Michael MacIntyre)

I have posted this somewhere else before, but it's worth doing it again. 'Have I got news for you' is a panel show reviewing the weeks news -
Paul Merton makes a couple of poor jokes but then recovers well -

Ali G was always by far my favourite Sacha Baron Cohen character.

I thought it would be good to resurrect this thread, to give us all a laugh or at least a smirk ?

Just been watching a programme on Ronnie Barker, who was one of the best comedians ever in my opinion.

I think the funniest sketch is Peter Cook and Dudley Moore and the "Dead Parrot". Apart from Peter's brilliant use of language and timing, and Dudley's quick facial expressions the best part for me is when Dud loses it and spends time regaining his composure. Pete attempts to keep in character...just, by ad-libbing and cracking Dud up again.
The UK has been blessed with so many very funny actor/comedians who can make you laugh until the tears run. What's more they don't need to use language of the gutter to get the laughs.

The bickering of the Smothers Brothers were a major comedy routine in the United States in the 1960's. Now it seems to me to be rather cruel.
