Well, even though it was Spring at Kew, those are all the kinds of images used for Day of the Dead. That's a really clever use of the materials to draw attention to the succulent collection.

Great great pics Mick!! The pond with the giant lily pads ( I saw them in Mauritius some years ago but forget the botanical name...not Victoria somethin-or-another??) well, they are superb! Talk about reflection - you have to study the photo for quite a while to determine that it is in fact only a reflection in the water - Magnificent!

Well done. It shows either you do know what you're talking about or they are easy to have the wool pulled over their eyes.

Oh, Mick ~~ I am so happy for you and especially for Kew and the public it serves. They are so lucky to have you.
I'm also happy for me, as that group of pictures was posted when I was travelling. This is the first time I'm seeing any you posted in August. They're wonders! The rock garden with the waterfall & stream just about puts me around the bend. I really, really love that grouping of succulents in the formal setting with the urn -- it's a brilliant & unexpected use of material and space. The green houses are glorious -- love the pitcher plants.
How do you make yourself leave that place?!

What beauties! This last photo with the 'red rosettes' is my pick - Mick, from what you have said it seems you drive to Kew each visit. How would you get there if you started off in London? I think it's possible by boat which chugs up to Hampton Court Palace or by train ( not tube?) or the best way I would love is by bus. Any advice will be really great.

The beauty -- the variety -- the sheer size of the place!
So you'll be able to spend tons of time in the off-limits greenhouse, right? That's a nice perk. Mick, do they get new stuff there from collectors, from other public gardens ....... where?
I'm really admiring the grass beds photo. It's not a type of landscaping that's ever seen here.
Oh, Mr. Consultant -- you need to tell Kew to get all those items shown in your OP out of storage & back into the gardens. This is the proper season for that, from now through November 2.

More lovely snaps of Kew Gardens - I can't wait to see it in Spring! Your first photo Mick is one I recognised right off as the Traveller's Palm I saw in Singapore. Otherwise known as Ravenala madagascariensis. I would so love to have one and I'm sure it would do well in our sunny climate. Only thing is I have never seen them for sale at any of our local nurserymen. I see it has problems though. Well not 'it' specifically - here is the article. tinyurl.com/d8vsf7q

Wonderful pictures, Mick -- the travelers palm one is a beautiful shot in particular.
Everything is so green, even in late autumn. It's balm to the eyes.
Yaaay on your plants. Will the public know, or will it just be a secret source of satisfaction?
