Thanks. That picture was taken from afar. I was trying to get a shot of a procession going into the cathedral when he saw me & sprang into action behind the worshipers. I'll justify putting this photo here by pointing out that it has children in it :

I 've been dying to post this pic but wanted to get his parent's permission first. This is a young boy I take care of and on this particular night he told his mother that since she and his father were going on a date, he was too, and told her he wanted to wear plaid. She thought he would settle for just the shirt or the shorts but insisted on going "all plaid".

He does need some serious fashion advice, however.

He does need some serious fashion advice, however. Oh, poo on you!! He's 2 and a half years old and all he could talk about was his date with Ms. C.!!!(and the shirt I believe is Ralph Lauren!!) He was so pleased with himself you have no idea!!! He also plays a mean harmonica!!!!

Haha. Not bad really for a North American male in summertime. If you haven't been here in the Summer in a while you may be in for an unpleasant surprise. Americans have really gotten fat in the last 10-20 years too which makes almost anything unflattering. That looks like the Indian madras shirts I used to wear in the heat. Very comfortable. Haven't seen one in a while. My last one was a Brooks Brothers, I thought it was pretty stylin'.

He is such a little cutie.
Isn't it funny how kids that age can be so opinionated about what they wear?

That little boy pretty much breaks the cuteness barrier. He also looks very spiffy in the outfit he selected.

What darlings! I love Casimira's "Mr. Attitude" -- great shot. And those nephews, Mich ~~ too cute. That little one looks like you, doesn't he? The bride & her young gallant is just a killer picture. Thanks for the nice comments on my pics. You all realize I have an unfair advantage, don't you? That's because I'm invited to more kids' birthday parties than the rest of you.

They are all just so adorable Bixa! You are fortunate to have so many parties to attend as being around all of these little ones is fun but you can also be happy when you get to go home by yourself!
Yes, I have been told my great nephew looks like me. His grandmother (my sister) often calls me by his mother's (her daughter) name ever since she was born as she is reminded of me when she looks at her, now, also him.

Some people think it's cute, but I find the huge eyes of small children alarming. I think that all body parts should grow at the same time.

Kevin looks like quite a character. They are both adorable. Some people think it's cute, but I find the huge eyes of small children alarming. I think that all body parts should grow at the same time. I think most people equate wide eyes with wonder and innocence.

Thank you, NYCGirl.
Kevin is my next-door neighbor & the little blonde boy is my great-nephew.

Bixa, you are a master when it comes to photographing people, and what marvelous facial expressions on both Kevin and your nephew. I know I've said it before, but you seem to bring out something special in the human subjects you photograph (the canines and felines, too ;D )

You are too kind ~~ Thank you! I think the only thing I do right is to hurry and snap the picture so the person won't start posing or, in the case of animals, wander away. Judging by the excellent pictures in this thread. others have some very effective techniques of their own.
