That 's a wonderful photograph, with those muted colors, high sky and magnificent subject matter.

(Not at the lake cottage. At a ski area in NW Montana.)

Thanks, folks! And I even got the horizon straight in this one! (It's hard when you're cold and standing on skis on a slope to do that!)

Oh wow, these are outstanding. This one is taken during my walk this afternoon. Jordan French Alps

all nice, but I LOVE the green one in the French alps. Maybe because there is no skyline, so it appeals to me for its novelty.

Great group of photos! My favorite is the green one, as well. Such a luscious color.

Alpine scenes are always breathtaking; I hope to get back there this summer.

They're all wonderful, Amboseli, from the cinematic first shot to the craggy snow-covered alps. I do love the velvety green one, but have to say that the one of Jordan is my favorite.

kerouac's dirt-scape makes me want to walk the field looking for arrowheads turned up by the plow!

Oh, the last two are both so brilliant is such different ways.
In Kerouac's, I love the muted light and the subtle way the sky above the copse mirrors its shape.
And NYCG ~~ the forms, the colors, but whooo on the way the outcroppings seem lit from within!

Just beautiful htmb!! Where is that? Surely not Florida. Thank you! That photo (and I have several others) was taken in the languedoc region of southern France. I had just watched those farmers mow the field and bale the hay. That photo was taken facing west, but in some of my photos taken of the southern landscape you can just barely see the peaks of the Pyrenees.
