Questa's sand dunes are starkly beautiful and Bixa's Oaxaca looks glorious.

Thank you, NYCGirl!
Kerouac, your lovely photo has me trying to remember all the words to "Dover Beach", even though yours is of the French side. I'm probably overly fanciful, but the place looks freighted with history.
NYCBoy :: my lord those are beautiful photographs! In the first, I love the delicate trees in front of that massive stone face & the beautifully rendered water hinting at the eons it took to wear down to that level. And the second picture is a mystical poem of light, color, and form. Bravo!

I love landscapes! These posts are wonderful, too. I wonder what they were preparing to plant in your picture, Kerouac. Amboseli, is that a train line going through your first photo?

No, it's just a bridge. It's in the Madonie mountains in northern Sicily. The second one too, although it looks more like an Alpine meadow in Austria or Switzerland. We were very surprised to see (and hear) cows with bells in Sicily!

Wonderful landscape, but the clouds really make the picture, Bixa.

I considered posting my last picture in the "bodies of water" thread, but the photo was taken out in the center of Paynes Prairie, where I hiked for the first time in two years. The water is actually very shallow and is part of the sheet flow restoration plan.

Amboseli! Cheery! Htmb! Wow, such variety & beauty. I particularly love Amboseli's dunes, Cheery's bare trees scribbling against the sky, and Htmb's shimmering expanse.
pee ess ~ belated but profound appreciation for that stunner in #127.
