That still looks like facial herpes to me.

Hmmm, Htmb. Just this morning I read an article about "Covid toe" which contained this information: Other problems like hives have also been linked to the coronavirus ... Patients with viral infections often get a pink bumpy rash called morbilliform, or hives ... sourceOn the other hand, if you google "rash on face" coronavirus", you'll get a zillion hits about rashes, but I didn't find one that said anything about a facial rash.

Thanks, but I’m not asking for a diagnosis, I’m fairly confident it’s contact dermatitis from the vines mixed in with the ivy near my front door. Just asking if anyone else has a home remedy they might use for poison ivy/oak. Since I started using the apple cider vinegar yesterday morning (after washing with lots of soap and water) it’s dramatically better. Much of the redness has gone, except for one little spot, and there’s hardly any itching. So, as long as it continues to improve I have no plans to see the doctor on Monday.

Good you don t ask for a diagnosis. I should say oral sexuel usually is cause to such symptôms. But for a good diagnosis talk to a Real doctor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😜😜😜😛😛😛

I doubt it’s a cold sore. I don’t recall ever having one before. This rash is more towards my cheek and looks a bit like this (example on Wikipedia). It is possible you may have rosacea starting. It can appear on various parts of the face. There is an OTC product called Prosacea that may be worth trying to see if it helps.

The rash wasn’t improving so I went to the doctor and she confirmed my suspicions. I need to start wearing gardening gloves next time I pull vines.

Just so long as you are not required to wear a full hazmat suit!

No, the hazmat suits are only for going to the grocery store. Unfortunately, that’s where I’ll have to go to pick up my prescription this afternoon.

I did it again! I got impatient waiting for an app to load on my overstuffed IPhone, gave it another stab and watched its icon disappear from my screen! Oh no!
This time it was Notes. But I’ve also accidentally deleted my Email and my Calculator and Notes once before. The first time I googled how to get it back - go to the App Store and re-download the app. It worked, and my missing notes even returned to the Notes app.
But this time my phone was too plugged up to redownload the app. So I had to delete a bunch of photos to make room for the app. The App Store is always kinda scary cuz it has so many similar-looking apps and I’m never sure I’m choosing the right one.
So today I picked what looked right, downloaded it and voila, my notes were there - but only up till about a year ago! Nothing since May 24 2019 was there.
Since my free iCloud storage was used up long ago, and I refuse to PAY for what I was getting for free, nothing on my phone is being backed up. It appeared that my notes had reloaded from the cloud...
I kept looking and looking, restarted the phone and nope. Still not there. And then I selected what seemed like the wrong option and boom, it all came back.
Whew!

Nothing works for me except hydrocortisone cream. I get PI at least once a year on our trips to Florida.

But the fact that I have to do it all the time makes me think that my mind is going.

Thanks, Kimby. I thought I remembered someone here complaining about poison ivy. Just couldn’t remember who.
A script for Hydrocortisone creme is what my dermatologist gave me. A week later, the rash is almost gone, but still lingering in a couple of spots.

You can buy over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream at any drugstore or supermarket that works just fine, even though it’s not as strong as the prescription version.
I find if the itching is driving me nuts at bedtime, Benadryl oral caplets is good too, plus has the added.benefit of making one drowsy.

Htmb, luckily for us is that pharmacists are allowed to prescribe medication if one does not have a doctor's script, and if he feels you need it. Even better is if you have been dealing with the same pharmacy for a very long time they will help you if they possibly can This is so handy especially now that we have movement restrictions. My dear Staffordshire terrier started scratching her sides. I gave her Allergex but it didn't really stop her. So I rang up my chemist bloke and said I wanted 30 Prednisone tablets for my dog. No problem……It has saved her life. No irritation and now she is on 1 pill a day. I know she may start again and I'm going to change her dog food but in the mean time the poor thing has some peace.

My dear Staffordshire terrier started scratching her sides. One of my dogs was scratching each side in exactly the same place. The vet says when that happens, it's usually something hormonal.

My petty personal trauma was an unpleasant dream, erotic but not in a pleasant or hopeful way. A guy pawing me and although there was something repulsive about him (not physically, he was what would be viewed as an attractive man), I was not at all happy about the situation, and then, some kind of authority figure came along and chastised us for violating the lockdown rules. Fortunately I woke up after that.

I assure you that there is ABSOLUTELY no reason I should be checked for either. It was just a very creepy dream about the loss of touch. I have no physical contact with humans whatsoever, and have zero perverse thoughts about my wee livia.

I knocked over Mr. Kimby’s glass of lemonaid at lunch today, and it sheeted off the table into my lap and onto the floor. I bolted for the dishrag in the sink, but got tangled up in the chair leg and pulled it over, falling hard onto the floor. No injuries except a bruised bum cheek. And my dignity, of course.

I'm shattered. My younger grandson Weston had a major accident on his bicycle this afternoon. His face is a mess. He has lost a front tooth and his lip needed stitches. I didn't want to look at the photos my son took but at least I know he has been attended to by a dentist who told the parents to put the tooth into milk immediately. It seems he has succeeded in putting it back in the gum but who knows if it will re-attach. I feel so sad for my little Sugar.

That is no petty trauma, tod. But children heal pretty well, and yes, baby teeth CAN be saved. Hoping for the best for Weston. And his traumatized Grandma.

My petty trauma is that due to the pandemic, the memorial celebration of life for my youngest sister who died suddenly in January will have to be postponed indefinitely as many of those who would gather with us are in higher risk categories. I HAD hoped to travel by myself to spend a few days with my remaining sister as she turns 65 in June. But Mr. Kimby, with his Dr. Kimby hat on, says I’d be crazy to subject myself to the infection risk of long days of travel on 3 airlines passing through 5 airports...we won’t even know for another week or so if our Florida return trip has infected either of us.
I’m so sad to not be able to see her on her Medicare birthday, something worth celebrating.

That sound majorly traumatic, tod, but at the same time it is a rather small accident where everything can be fixed one way or another.
As for Kimby, I know we all react differently to things like death, but both of my parents waited many months for their urns to even be interred, with no service of any kind, because all that matters is the way I feel and not anything that anybody could say. And it is better for the living to say alive and in good health as long as possible, so I will agree with Dr. Kimby in terms of the fact that there is absolutely no rush to do this. (And of course as a man, I don't pay any attention to memorial dates and generally forget them.)

Oh, I am so sorry, Tod! I know you must be hurting for your little guy, even though it sounds like he's going to be okay.
Kimby, I have an at-risk friend who'll be flying in early June to be with her daughter, who is having an operation. I wish she wouldn't, but understand why she is. Obviously your husband's concerns are reasonable, but may I make a suggestion?
My friend chose her flight based on its being one-way. Is there any chance you and your sister could meet somewhere involving only one-way flights for each of you? Obviously this would hinge on how your sister feels about it, but this occasion seems to involve so much more for the two of you than simply observing a birthday.
This is such a personal decision. Honestly, I wouldn't fly right now, but maybe having just made a flight you feel differently about the risks involved.

The memorial was to be for about 20 family and friends coming from many states, almost all over 60, and several with other health issues.
My sister and I had a chance to memorialize our little sister in February when we met with her widowed husband in Arizona. And weeks ago, we made the call to postpone the group gathering, as COVID really heated up. The coincidence of the memorial weekend and the birthday was serendipitous, but it was not to be. I still hoped to go celebrate her milestone birthday by myself, leaving Pearl and Mr. Kimby safe at home.
Maybe in September, but I suspect we will have multiple peaks in infections, and will be flattening the curve for the foreseeable future.
Another trauma is that our trip to Peru will likely be cancelled. The state department is STILL evacuating Americans from Peru, having arranged fights for over 10,000 stranded Americans. I really doubt we’ll put ourselves in a position to be needing rescue when the virus rebounds. But the tour company notified us yesterday that our balance is due in one month. No word about COVID. I expect they’ll go under. I’m willing to transfer my deposit for a 2021 Tour, but I won’t be paying any more at this point in time.

Hard to imagine they aren’t clinging to solvency by their fingernails. Every little bit helps.
Meanwhile their promotional department keeps sending me cheery emails about places they take travelers... (Gotta get off that email list!)
